PRECISION NUTRITION CERTIFIED AND CPT
I am extremely passionate about health and fitness. However, what started out as my own personal journey towards my goal aesthetics, morphed into a relentless pursuit of health on a cellular level.
Growing up, I was always active in sports and the gym. In the early teen years, I struggled with an eating disorder that threatened my mental and physical state through most of my adolescence years. I hated my body, my appearance, and felt so unhappy all the time. My family took notice, and I reluctantly allowed myself to be admitted to an outpatient rehabilitation. I did manage to put the weight back on, but eventually fell back into my old habits of restriction. I was lost and looking for an outlet. Food was a way for me to gain some control when other areas of life felt out of control. I struggled in secret for years and masked my unhappiness with alcohol and parties with friends.
Fast forward years and I decided I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I was done idolizing other women and their bodies, while I criticized my own. I made a commitment to myself to do whatever it took to find my mental happiness and that the physical changes would follow. It was then that I hired a personal trainer, quit drinking, and focused on nutrition. I had been working out for years and never saw the results I wanted, so I knew my nutrition had to change.
I have made leaps and bounds since then. My journey has not been linear, but it has been worth it. Instead of envying others, I now work on being the best version of me. I believe wholeheartedly that it was through health and fitness that I saved my own life. The mental demons I had during those years would have destroyed me had I not had the courage to stand up, fight back and take hold of my health.
Since then, I married a wonderful man and together we have two children; our daughter, Remington and our son, Owen. I am beyond blessed to have had two healthy pregnancies and two healthy babies. The female body is amazing at what it can do and provide and I have had such a deeper appreciation for my own ever since giving birth.
My mission is therefore to free other women of insecurities, detrimental thoughts, and restrictive behaviors that threaten their overall health. I hope to provide a blueprint for and coach others to lead a balanced and truly happy and healthy lifestyle.
